Hello!
Today I am bringing you a new tutorial that is really fun and really easy. You probably already have all the supplies in your sewing room!

You can use any block you would like, but if you want to make the same one as I am, be sure to download my free FPP Flying Geese pattern HERE.

If you are new to foundation paper Piecing you can check out my YouTube tutorials HERE.
For this tutorial you will need:
(1) block for the front - I am using my flying geese block
(1) 2.5" x 6.5" piece of fabric for the back
(1) 2.5" x 6.5" piece of fusible interfacing (I use Pellon SF101)
A small piece of ribbon

To start, remove the paper from the flying geese block.

Fuse your interfacing to the back of your flying geese block following the manufacturer's instructions.

Lay your flying geese block and the back piece of fabric right sides together.

Put your piece of ribbon inside the layers like the photo below and pin in place. I placed my ribbon RST with my flying geese block.

Sew around the perimeter with a 1/4" seam allowance leaving a 2" gap on the long side of the bookmark.

Trim the corners making sure to not clip the stitches.

Turn the bookmark right side out and poke the corners so they are nice and sharp.

Turn the edges of the gap 1/4" in, pin, and topstitch in place. Optional: topstitch around the entire perimeter.
